Project Hayd is a student-led organisation, based in India which works towards ending the taboo about menstrual health for rural women. We're here to challenge the stigma surrounding periods and promote understanding and support especially in underdeveloped areas. Together, we aim to empower individuals by fostering open dialogue and spreading awareness about menstrual health and hygiene. Menstrual health education is crucial for promoting empathy, reducing stigma, and empowering individuals to manage their health effectively. It promotes inclusivity and supports the well-being of women experiencing menstruation worldwide, especially in underdeveloped areas, and is essential for understanding and respecting menstruation.Â
Us teenagers often experience puberty-related changes, which can be confusing and overwhelming. Understanding menstrual health is crucial for navigating these changes. Lack of information can lead to confusion and health risks. We can resonate with the topic of menstrual health on various levels, from personal experiences and challenges to broader social and environmental implications. Our goal is to increase menstruation awareness in underdeveloped
areas through education, addressing misconceptions, and promoting gender equality. We aim to provide free, hygienic products, promote hygiene, and break cultural norms. As a small-scale NGO we aim to raise awareness
and distribute free menstrual pads through community engagement, education, and strategic partnerships, collaborating with local schools to ensure sustainable access to menstrual hygiene.Â
Let's break the silence and make a positive change!Â
